The cumulative number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Korea is reported to have exceeded 19,000. Amid the current situation, in which greater attention must be paid to infection control due to this resurgence, Hyundai Aesthetic Surgery announced that it has strengthened its infection control system to prevent and limit the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
As social distancing was recently raised to Level 2.5 due to COVID-19, Hyundai Aesthetic Surgery, as a public medical institution, has made mask-wearing mandatory for all staff and visiting patients as a proactive response, and has established action guidelines for thorough prevention that all employees are implementing.
In addition, the clinic thoroughly blocks the entry of infected individuals by checking for suspected symptoms such as fever, chills, cold symptoms, headache, and cough, and by carefully confirming each patient’s overseas travel history through a medical questionnaire.
Hyundai Aesthetic Surgery, which operates a sterilization system that meets WHO international standards, is strengthening thorough sterile infection control throughout the entire hospital through regular disinfection as well as professional infection control companies.
In addition, hand sanitizers and antibacterial protective masks have been placed at the hospital entrance and throughout the clinic. All staff members wear antibacterial protective masks, and medical personnel wash their hands each time they see a patient, making every effort to prevent in-hospital infection.
Dr. Hwang Ho, Chief Director of Hyundai Aesthetic Surgery, stated, “At a time when confirmed COVID-19 cases continue to occur, particularly in the Seoul metropolitan area, we will do our utmost to strengthen various infection control activities and safety management systems so that patients can receive care more safely and all visitors can receive treatment with peace of mind.”
